Our little piece of the Mediterranean has become world-renown for the production of high-quality figs, and our Liokareas Organic Kalamata Sun Dried do not disappoint.  Dried by the sun so they retain their nutritional value, sweet taste. These figs are organically grown in the lush mountains of Kalamata, Greece and are handpicked - following the traditions of the Old World.  Simply washed and packed without any additional processing or additives. 

Figs are best known for being full of Vitamins; Rich in calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium and vitamins B6 and E.  Our sun-dried figs are soft, chewy and delightfully sweet that make a nutritious, on-the-go treat and are a great addition to any charcuterie board, cheese or nut platter.

And what olives we don’t eat or press into oil, we offer to you. For hors-d'oeuvres and your favorite dishes or salads. Our Greek Pitted Kalamata Olives are packed in a simple brine of water, red wine vinegar, sea salt, and extra virgin olive oil. Simply perfect.

Kalamata Olives and their oils are naturally rich in healthy fats and antioxidants, iron and Vitamins A, E & K. Mmmm, vitamins.

Mani Sea Salt - "The white gold of Mani."

Liokareas Sea Salt is flaky and comes in a 3.3oz Glass Jar. 

About a 30 minute walk from our olive farm, down to the shore of the Mediterranean sea will take you to the region where we hand harvest our all-natural sea salt.  This sea salt has no additives, it is strictly salt harvested from the rocks along the shore, dried and sifted.  Our salt is larger in size because it is not crushed or refined, this salt remains in the natural crystal state that it comes in when we collect it.  We do not bleach our salt, and we do not refine our salt.  It is 100% natural.  You will notice that there are some crystals randomly throughout that are darker in color, while the majority of them are bright white.  This is the natural random color of the salt crystals. This salt is stronger in flavor than normal table salt, a little bit goes a long way! and it is a healthier option for salt since there are no additives.

Love the flavor, disappointed in crystalization

My family loves this honey because the flavor is so pure. We keep it for our use and have given it as a gift to many friends. I ordered 3 jars, 1 for our use and 2 for gifts for friends. Unfortunately, for the first time in my history of purchasing the honey, 2 of the jars came and the honey was crystallized. In all the years I've used this honey, I've never previously had any to crystallize so this was surprising. The Liokarias team was very responsive to my inquiry and explained that because there are no preservatives it could crystallize, and this did not change the quality or the flavor. I appreciate that but would not give a jar of crystallized honey as a gift. My biggest disappointment is that anytime I order the honey in the future it could arrive crystallized, so I won't be able to order any for gifts. This was such a go-to winner as a gift, but I will need to find an alternative.

When it comes to honey, you have to get the real thing. A lot of store-bought stuff is not real honey.
